If the fan on your air cooler fails, you run down the local computer store and buy a new one the same day. If your custom water cooling and a part of it fails, you can order it online and get next day shipping. With AIO's you either wait for RMA or go buy a whole new unit. They're disposable, and this is what makes them a love/hate relationship. It has nothing to do with Corsair or any other "brand" name, its all about marketing a quick sale product that is disposable.

BTW, if an AIO is barely keeping your temps under 90c I would say that AIO is a complete failure.

I never gave much worry about having to RMA and have huge downtime, I figured they'd handle it like EVGA does the GPU and do like an advanced exchange but...haha....omg, People that think Corsair CS is good should try dealing with EVGA or Logitech....one reason I finally went back to a logitech mouse...they've sent me so many replacements its not even funny, mouse for 2 years, click stops working, no problem, take a pic of mouse for us or give us serial number, boom here ya go we're sending you a new mouse/kb dont even bother sending us the old one back ha.

Anyway, what I was going to say, even if they did an advanced exchange yeah you're without your rig, I really don't like that, normally id say slap on the stack cooler, but I just remembered i got my CPU minus the stock fan on sale, so I'd be mega boned.

I have 2 aio...

Super reliable and quiet if you use your brain. But yea corsair software was pretty buggy and still use 2% cpu usage. And the quiet mode turn the fan into a motocross at 39-40 celsius on the cpu in F@H no idea why. So i just made a custom one

4790k delided at 4.7 1.3v and i can use 4.9 1.4v if i want to be near 70-80c with cpu bound game. On a h75

Putting 400$ + on a custom loop for a cpu only is just stupids. Current cpu can overclock as much as you need with aio. Even the 5960x can reach damn good clock

It's not $400 unless your going for ascetics too. You can get good CPU only kits for $150 with premium components and you have the option to expand it in the future and replace any individual part that fails.

I may buy a different cooler once I have to rip this H100i off - I will say the H100i, when its working, besides being loud with stock fans, works pretty well.

no idea which one or type tho, may just go back to a big ole air cooler, cheaper, does the same thing on all but the most extreme overclocks.

really not going to fret over 100mhz lol

I haven't kept up to date on the WC market tho so no idea where to start.

ITS A GIVE & TAKE 50/50

NO BRAND IS GARANTEED TO EVER BE 100% WITHOUT FAULTS......AND CHANGING MANUFACTURER DOESNT ALWAYS IMPROVE THINGS...ITS LIKE YOU SAID qc...

STRICTER QC AND HARDER QC ON THE LABOUR DEPARTMENT IN THE ASSEMBLING DEPARTMENT....ONLY WAY TO IMPROVE THAT IS TO LITERALY CHECK EACH SINGLE UNIT BY TESTING IT FOR 48HOURS BEFORE SHIPPING OUT...

BUT IT STILL DOESNT GIVE THE PEOPLE THE RIGHT TO SAY THE BRAND IS BAD......

So maybe just a streak of bad luck there for ya?

But anyways name one company around that will pay for shipping costs without you arguing with them? And a company that if you don't call (assuming they got a phone customer service) and go to the forums to hunt their guys that will answer your requests in a timely manner?

Its the industry standard from my previous experience.

EVGA does it all the time. They'll even give you a shipping label on them. That's one company I'll always do business with...

My dealing with Corsair have been very good. I had a H100 with a loud pump, they replaced it with ease... I had to pay for the faulty one shipping, which was 8 bucks I believe.

MSI has some decent SC too, my experience with them has been very good the one time I've dealt with them.

Lamptron CS sucks & I will never buy a thing from them.

EK has decent CS as well, it will take time, but it's overall good.
