Help me help a friend build a powerful and pretty build

Hi as the title says I'm helping out a friend building her first PC. She's used to using PCs to game as she always got her brother's old hardware but now she wants something new for herself. She wants something that she won't have to worry about having to tweak and play around with settings to maintain 60fps with, and wants a red/black themed build in a black case and with red LEDs, and also an AIO watercooler as she doesn't like how the huge heatsinks look on a PC but doesn't want to go through creating her own custom loop.

She has given me a $2000 budget which is for the tower alone as she has plenty of keyboards, mice, headphones etc lying around from her brother's old stuff and already has a monitor. I have come up with an inital build but looking for more help/suggestions on what I could change to make it look better for her as I'm not familiar with adding LEDs to a build. She will be building it herself and doesn't want it to be too complicated to put together. Here is what I've got so far:

I'd switch the motherboard to either a z170 platform if she plans to overclock, or switch the processor to one which is locked as with your current combination, you're not going to see much benefit for the money that you put in. Also, what resolution is she going to run her games, as the 980ti is going to be a waste if she's going to stay HD ? Anyways, here's an updated part list that I'd go for :

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($359.99 @ Micro Center)
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler ($89.95 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Asus Z170-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($153.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($84.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($147.88 @ OutletPC)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($49.98 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB Video Card ($649.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Corsair 750D ATX Full Tower Case ($114.99 @ Micro Center)
Power Supply: SeaSonic 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($113.98 @ Newegg)
Total: $1765.74

I was thinking for $10 more she might as well get the 6700k instead of the non k, but I didn't realise you can't oc on the B150 motherboards. The one you selected though is white. She's looking for a red/black themed build so that wouldn't really work in it. She doesn't want an air cooler on the cpu as she finds the heatsinks to be quite ugly but doesn't want to do a custom loop, so the only option for her is an AIO unit. Her brother has a 1440p monitor that she can use but she also uses a 1080p 60" TV. She's quite insistent that she wants all the power she can get even at that resolution as she really doesn't want to have to tweak settings or turn anything down to get higher fps. I mentioned most of this in the original post. Also looking for suggestions on red LED solutions for her

My mistake. The fairer side can be tricky sometimes tongue.gif

Would MSI Z170 Gaming M5 be something she'd consider

Ah that one would be great actually. I was thinking about something like that as I was sure I'd seen it in someone's video before but couldn't think of the name or brand. Updated parts list http://pcpartpicker.com/p/8P7Vxr. Also what is the difference between the M3, M5 and M7 variants of this board? I'm seeing noticeable differences in pricing but not much else

The EVGA SuperNova G2 and the Corsair RMx are newer better cheaper and more quiet then the Seasonic X.
And you should drop the Corsair H100i as well its overrated overpriced and overhyped, the Noctua NH-U14S is just as good but its way cheaper its much more quiet and its much more reliable.

Okay swapped the silverstone for the G2. As I said before, she is only going for an AIO for a cooler as she doesn't like the look of air coolers and doesn't want to do a custom loop. Would you recommend a better aio unit?

Why would she spend more for something is worse in every single way?
Why not get a Be Quiet or Phanteks cooler then they look a lot better then Noctua coolers.

AIO coolers are a stupid fasion gimmick and they have gotten too overhyped.
If she really want an AIO cooler then Swiftech H220x or the H240x are the only ones i would consider good.

And you meant you replaced the Seasonic i assume?

Oops, yes replaced the silverstone, and it's a matter of looks to her, she prefers how it looks, can't really change that. It's really only AIO, despite the benefits of an air cooler

If she does not like Noctua there is Be Quiet or Noiseblocker fans.
