ok, so for me, I am at the scary part for this build, drilling a hole in the ice chest just big enough for the wire and tubing going through it, I will hope that I have accounted for every thing that I need, before measuring the trunk line size, and getting a hole saw that size to drill the hole. redface.gif

with this I can dry fit all of the wire, and do the final cuts on all of the soft copper tubing going through the case. rolleyes.gif

I will then seal the hole and test the ice chest for leaks, if all goes well, I can finish the frame for the reservoirs, and finalize the build inside the ice chest.
after this, I will finish the minor modding left on the PC case for this build, and get the PC hardware installed into it. thinking.gif

then I can start the process of filling the system, drying the inside of the ice chest, and turning the PC on. biggrin.gif

ok so this is the design for the hole that I will cut in the ice chest the center is 1 1/2" diameter round hole with a 5/8" X 2 1/4" rectangle in the center of that for the larger wire extension ends.

the wire and tubing final trunk line

there are no braded wire going through the ice chest, because that stuff makes it impossible to seal around the wire with it on there.

ok so I have gone through all the wire at least 5 times and I know it's all there, everything I need to power the PC and control it are there.
what I forgot is a converter from DVI to HDMI, but it's ok I can get it later, it's now on the list.
it's the little thins that nickel and dime you to death with this kind of project.
for example I need 3 X 3/8" 90 degree fittings for the soft copper tubing, a 3/8" to 1/4" converter, 2 X duel slot SLI fittings, and now the DVI to HDMI converter.
it's not a whole lot but it adds up, and I know that this wont be the last little shopping list for the build. tongue.gif

still waiting on the licron crystal but it should be here this week, I have not drilled the hole in the ice chest yet, as I am still getting up the nerve to do so.
working on the frames for the TEC power supplies and finishing the mounts on the PC case for this motherboard.

this is a heavily modified PC case. the motherboard and video cards just fit.

ok so I got the licron crystal, and I now understand why this stuff in not popular in the industry. this stuff goes on like water, I need to spray about a 3" wide section and let it sit and dry. then spray the next 3" wide section, because it runs bad, it looks bad, and I will need about 3 coats for it to be thick enough to do any good. doh.gif
Time consuming, this is why companies would rather replace all there plastic bins for ESD bins, than use this stuff to coat them, its a job to do this, and it will look like crap, if some serious time and effort is not put into doing it correctly. thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif
but I have the time, and I don't care how it looks when I am done, so it work for what I need it to do. thumb.gif
so for those planning on using this stuff, and it needs to look nice, take it to a paint shop and let them do it.

that is nice but my water blocks wont fit anything larger than a 50mm X 50mm.
that is why the 12730 at the 50mm X 50mm size is such a find. i can find them all day long at 62mm X 62mm.

my current TEC's are 12726 at the 50mm X 50mm i have been looking for larger TEC's at this size for about 4 years the best that i have found before these where the 12727's and i have one of them too, but last night i got 3 12730's that are the 50mm X 50mm and to me this was a great find.
