Can a fake logitech mice works with logitech gaming software? or it is impossible?

Logitech doesn't seem to have a quick way to check if the serial number is genuine or not. Only if you create a support account and manually add the serial number can you see if it's genuine or not.

Did you order from e-bay? If yes then sure it could be fake. I've had a fake g400 and a fake razer goliathus sent to me from e-bay. The mouse was a better replica but I noticed the missing Serial #'s and the box was slightly different

The goliathus was more obvious because it just looked weird and the logo was off sided. The g400 guy sent me a regular g400 after I told him, the razer goliathus guy refunded me and then I reported his page for selling fakes tongue.gif

I believe there are certain grades of fakes when you talk about china made goods. The parts could be all real - just made with replica moulds and pcbs and may possibly work with logitech software - these are the higher grade ones and in all respects similar to the real thing.

Or they could be simply lower grade products marketed in other countries. E.g. I always wondered about the g100s sold on taobao where they come in blue and grey. Or the g100s bulk versions from korea which come in plastic wrapping rather than the official boxes. Taobao even sells the g90 which was made only for some markets like india with a 3050 sensor instead of the amo10 and comes with 5 million click omrons. Those should work technically but I could be wrong.

If yours was extra cheap, you may have gotten the lower grade fakes made with fake parts e.g. inferior switches, sensors etc.

Usually at the bottom of the mouse (where the sensor is) or on the box.
Edit: Yep on the box, I just checked my G502 and it has no serial but the box does.

Sorry for late answer =)

You've just got a free mousepad, nevermind that it's a cheap replica, and he refunded you straight away after the fake claim. Those unfussy won't notice as they don't know better, and will be happy with a cheap 'branded' product. You think you've made it better for anyone?
