I almost spit my drink out when I seen the title and then proceeded to read the body...TN panel. Still a good deal though.

If it was ips, I would have included that in the title. Its a strong selling point and why the TN panels never mention TN. If you're after a single screen, TN is pretty solid (running a sammy tn 4k), but if you plan on getting a few more, get ips. Ips is definitely worth it for Eyefinity/Surround. I'm thinking of getting five dell 24 ips qhd monitors or three ips 4k dell 27".

I picked up the MG279Q in September for $569. Great monitor. It sits center in my display layout for work.
