Had a bit of an adventure with Acer service the last couple of weeks...
I had a stuck pixel develop on the Z35. Only one mind you but it was red and just to the right of center. Drove me nuts. Called into Acer, they indicated they would have me drop mine off at their depot and they would direct ship me a new one from the US. Dropped it off only to be later told their policy did not normally cover a single stuck pixel. I raised a bit of a fuss and they went ahead and replaced the panel instead of changing the entire unit. Picked it up, got it home only to find it has a dead pixel in the upper right corner
Now I'm really annoyed. How did they not test it when the changed out the panel? It's definitely my monitor, there is a scratch on one of the feet and the stuck pixel is gone.
What really annoys me is that it's BLB is far superior to the one I first had.
Anyhow called them again, had to provide an $1800 credit card hold and now they are priority drop shipping me a brand new one and taking the old one back (they are covering shipping both ways). On top of that, I was told the check out the new one, if there is any issue, they will ship me another one at no charge.
Now in the past, I have to admit I was leery of Acer service. To date they have changed a panel on a $1500 monitor free of charge, and now are shipping me a new one and paying for shipping back to the US. This monitor and box are enormous.
Acer really stepped up here. Other than the stuck pixel and the new panel with a single dead pixel, this is the single best monitor I have ever owned for gaming. With this level of service (far better than Asus btw, had a real mess with a monitor that died not long after I bought it), it shows they have made a real committment to the gaming community.
Hoping the one they send with be stuck and dead pixel free. I am wondering though, this latest panel which was apparently new might be a newer revision. The older one (which I bought the day it was released over 4 months ago) had a bit of BLB, no worse than any other monitor I've had but this panel was far more uniform. Perhaps there has been a new panel revision?
