It really helped in the beginning, now I don't even notice it biggrin.gif

I sometimes reference the "Help File" for more esoteric combinations tongue.gif (but even then I have the config file open semi-permanent in Atom so I also get to see there what the commands are (and/or change them to something more suitable).

So I decided I'd tinker with Xfce again. I really liked Mate but as time went on I realized I "needed" a change.
Here's my laptop screenshot, nothing fancy since this is just my web crawler...

As my terminal shows its Arch, Xfce4, adwaita dark and gnome icons

and here's my X99 rig

Plain Jane Debian (Click to show)
I've found in the last week that I'm actually getting stuff done instead of constantly messing with my DE. Very happy with this.

I keep thinking about mixing it up (mostly so I can post something new in this thread), but I can't think of a good reason to rice up any of my machines that are running Arch. My i3 setup is efficient, and other than occasionally changing what I'm monitoring in the status bar, all three of my Arch installs haven't changed in more than a year.

thumb.gif that's good. It's always good when you can do things that make you happy, just like messing with my DE makes me happy.

Makes me happy to. Just not getting things done because I'm always screwing around with it lol. Unfortunately I've let alot of things slip because I get distracted by so much choice in my desktop.

Decided to give Ubuntu a go on an old laptop before tuning it into a headless server. Took me a couple try's to boot and install for some reason, but so far I am liking it. this poor computer couldn't even run Windows 7 anymore with all the bloat and updates needed. Would be nice to mess with a bit to learn some more programming.

Haha, yup! I have it screwed into the case just enough to hold together while I was checking that everything worked. I have an old dell desktop case that I will be adapting to mount the board in, along with a power supply for the drives. Hopefully it works how I envision it to.
