Wanted:
*Wanted!* Asus Z97 Maximus VII Impact (Z97 Gene Acquired!)

Will Ship To: Anywhere

I'm looking for an Asus Z97 Maximus VII Gene Impact for $160 plus shipping.

Used, new, refurbished, open box, even one with some bent pins or that doesn't work, I'll check it out and if I like it, I'll buy it!
It doesn't matter to me what condition it starts in if I can repair it, I'm going to void the warranty on this thing so hard. biggrin.gif

I prefer to have the I/O shield, manual and main accessories, but I'm willing to haggle if some are missing.

Requirement: Item price and shipping must be kept separate. I'm a stickler about overhead. Use a tight fitting box to reduce weight. USPS Priority ONLY. Label must be created online for discount, etc. It should cost between $7-10 to ship. If you have trouble doing that let me know, I can help.

I'm really interested in what devilish plans you have planned thumb.gif

Well if you're going to overclock the snot out of a CPU and use near 1.5v you need the best MB you can get. I'm a "value oriented" person so if I can get a board with bent pins on the cheap and fix it that's a deal for me!

I'm rebuilding both machines in my house, one is a mid end gaming machine, it will have a G3258 to start (impact) and the other is my personal machine, I have a great clocking 4790k in there right now, runs 4.7GHz on a little more than 1.3v (1.344v load)

Were you able to find a z97 M7I yet?
Would you be interested in an M6I instead of an M7I? I've got one in my system with a 4790k and EK monoblock, been thinking about upgrading. If you're interested in the whole mobo/cpu/block sandwich, shoot me an offer, I've got original box and all goodies.

I RMA'd my first 4790k was from the original batch and had overheating issues, this one is from a later batch and is much better but I've not tried to OC it beyond 4.4. Under AIDA64 CPU/FPU/Cache stress test it holds 58C CPU according to mobo, 68C-70C Package. Idle 28C CPU, 34C package. 24C ambient.

It's more of a mid range build I'm doing. I have the Maximus VI Impact and a CPU for it (G3258), but I'd like to use an i5-4690k and Maximus VII Impact at the most. Water cooling isn't in the plans since I won't be around to maintain the rig. If you have any CPU coolers laying around or other ITX goodies I'd be interested in those though.

On my personal rig with the Maximus VII Gene I'm planning on going water, does that EK monoblock fit the Gene? I'm guessing not...
