AOC U2879VF 28'' 4k Freesync - Page 3

I ended up ordering it. Also had a New Egg gift card so that brought it down a bit more. looking forward to getting it.

Just out of curiosity what kinda fps are you getting and in what games @ what settings. I have a 4770k @ 4 ghz and a Fury X that clocks pretty well.
The main ones I play are BF4, TF2, CS GO, Fallout 4, SW Battle Front, War Thunder, Diablo 3, and so on lol.

SW:BF and D3 are the only ones of those that I play and they're both beautiful with all settings maxed.

I've been playing The Witcher 3 and GTA 5 primarily in the last week or so, and they both are incredible at 4K.

What all do you need to do to setup Free Sync? I am assuming it's just a global setting in Crimson?

Got the monitor in. Looks like I ordered at a good time. They are sold out now. so far I have not seen any dead pixels and the light bleed doesn't seem bad at all. I played around with the settings a bit and was able to get them pretty close to how I feel my IPS looked. Overall pretty impressed with the quality especially considering it was $349 shipped.

Got a quick question. I can't seem to find any info on it and this may be a dumb question but with Freesync enabled do you turn off vsync in game or does the vsync just match whatever the driver (freesync) is telling the display to refresh at?

I don't set Vsync, but I do set the Frame Rate Target Control to 60fps in Crimson for games like Diablo 3 that want to run at super high frame rates.
