I need a 1070 so bad, Dirt Rally is destroying my 970.

Codemasters' games are usually CPU bound more than GPU. Dirt Rally uses their older game engine (not the new Formula 1 game engine) so it should run decent if you have a good CPU. I was running the game at high settings on 5760x1080 on a 970 with some adjusted AA settings, so I would start there.

Any chance there's a Rift version of Raw Data? We didnt get alot this week other than DIRT Rally.
Strait from the Raw Data devs. Looks like it's a go! thumb.gif Just waiting for the hardware to release.

Oculus Rift Support and What’s Next for Survios

suvrios raw data screenshot htc vive (1)

When I asked Iliff about whether or not Raw Data would see Rift support, he said “We’re a platform agnostic studio, so we want to support them in the future, but currently our focus is on Vive.”

As Oculus isn’t planning to ship their Touch VR controllers until Q4 2016, it’s understandable that Suvrios is focusing on the Vive when it comes to Raw Data. Once Touch does launch, there’s still questions as to if/how Raw Data could be adapted for the front-facing gameplay which Oculus is encouraging.

Edit:
Just read that again. Is Oculus encouraging both cameras in the front? Why wouldn't they have a camera in the back to avoid occlusion. Just wondering.

I believe they are going for stereo camera capture but are pushing for 180deg experiences. Kinda like how the CONTROLLER is better for many things now that TOUCH is so late to the party (see that interview when they were trying to deflect from the paying off developers thing?).

But why push for 180 degrees when the competition is already 360 degrees? I cannot imagine VR without 360 degrees, it's only gimping the VR experience at that point. Hell, Raw Data, Brookhaven, lots of VR game simply wouldn't work without 360 degrees.

Makes sense thumb.gif
I think i figure out Project Cars , Medium Settings AA off and Pixel Override to 1.6 , Still drops to 70's on just few tracks but looks sharp biggrin.gif
Also does anyone know how to Lock Pixel Override so i don't have to run Debug Tool and change those numbers every single time ?

From everything I've been reading, it's basically because Oculus wants to support what they think most people have; not a lot of room and a desire to not run a USB cable 20 feet from the computer to a sensor behind you. They are "encouraging" devs to build around a 180 degree setup, but they are still free to also support full 360 room scale. Personally, the only way I'd have enough room for 360 room scale is if I moved my rig out to the living room and moved furniture around there. Since I still play a lot of monitor games, I don't see myself doing that often (and probably only for when people come over and I demo the HMD).

Basically a more ergonomic Vive? Apparently Gen1 Vive was literally the easier to manufacture Pre model, and I see why, they made a LOT of Vives in record time doing so.
