You just reminded me some new cameras i saw on youtube with hdr, so yeah if this monitor is aimed towards photo editors etc hdr can be very useful to them.

Maybe, but I think it's too late for them to add HDR to it.

I wonder when we would see a more sensibly priced 25-27" 1440p OLED... I am so fed up with AUO and their crap.

I don't know if we can jump the gun and be absolutely sure what features and market it will end up aiming to. If you look at the pro OLED monitors by Sony, they do indeed support HDR or they won't be able to master the new HDR 4k films properly.

I have titan x sli and i think they support hdcp 2.2 but i think it's impossible for 4:4:4 chroma 4k plus 60hz plus hdr on an hdmi 2.0.
Newer games will support hdr according to nvidia so it would be nice if this tv could support all of them at the same time.
Should i hope in the future it might be possible on this tv with a firmware upgrade and with a newer higher bandwidth hdmi cable?

No Display with only HDMI 2.0 (virtually all modern TV's have only this), would be able to do 4:4:4 4K @ 60Hz plus HDR. Just too much bandwidth required for HDMI 2.0 to handle. You would have to drop the Hz or color down, or buy a display with DP 1.3/1.4.

^ But if you subtract the HDR, it should be enough bandwidth right? Just barely 4:4:4 /4k/60fps/8-12bit? (NO hdr)
Are there any news for a near future higher bandwidth hdmi cable similar to dp1.3/1.4's bandwidth?

The HDR meta data is very small and won't be a bandwidth problem.

The actual HDR pixel data is only 10bit.

What kind of keyboard tray are you using. Would like to get one like that too. smile.gif
