At the first part with the Avalanche scene, there is flickering that takes away from the experience.
Game seems to run smooth overall, 2x 970SLI, exclusive full screen, 1080p - very high settings maxed, 120hz, v-sync off...

Has anyone else experienced this? Maybe turn on v-sync to double buffer?

You'll only notice more issues like this. Some explosions (smoke in particular) and snow. I'm not sure why this happens but that first scene is definitely not the last time you'll see it.

I am going to try this SLI fix when I get home today to test and see if it gets better...

It works very well FYI. Why this wasn't something that was included in the "game ready" driver update, I'm not sure.

I have noticed some severe tearing which has forced me to turn on vsync as it was getting unbearable. Can't recall if this was before or after the driver update but I've had vsync on for pretty much the entire time I've played it so far which I never have to do in any other game

shame no such fix is there for the Division... it has to be fixed in the engine - so good thing the game isn't out yet.
