EDIT: Ran a quick test. My 970s seem to be pegged at 98-99 percent more often with the 2F5 and HAWX bit. Also, FPS is a bit higher with those changes. Maybe it depends on where the test is performed and the "hack" is better in some places and the official bits are better in others? To me, higher fps numbers cant be placebo.
The game is now using both 99% on default nvidia profile...
the change was via engine
meaning its a Major Change in Coding on how the command list is given to the driver for the GPU to execute. So why would anybody think the sli bits is still good??
The First Release Tomb Raider had
1. Inconsistent Usage. Initial open areas it was doing 55% on both cards and in caverns etc doing 99% both but while looking at certain areas it drops.
Changing Sli profile to use only two cards instead of 4. Showed the sli bit was placebo. The EXACT place where the default drops.. FPS was same.
Now after few updates by tomb raider dev ( Not beta btw).. we are getting full 90-99% on both cards on default ( My profile still uses only 2 cards for sli instead of 4)...
and getting about 30-40% increase in frame rates..Also look at the power Limit usage.. this is way higher than the placebo
60-120 FPS 1440p Maxed out (Motion Blur/Vignette BLur/Depth Of Field Disabled) SSAA 2x
Gameplay 80Fps AVG..
so as far as maths goes.. playing this with two cars maxed out SSAA 2x @1440p and getting avg 80fps with min 60 max 120...
Best is if we all start showing screenshots of the area ure having issue with... then we do a comparison on exact area .Edited by cstkl1 - 2/13/16 at 11:49am
