I just achieved a 100k unit with my 970, I hope the stats will be back soon !

My single card is pushing an average of 300k PPD for the team thumb.gif

I'll trade you a 2p server for a 980ti tongue.gif

If I'm being honest I'm still doing it.

I've got another pair of 2P boards with processors that'll show up in the marketplace sometime this month. One board is even ATX. smile.gif

Are cpu work units more trouble than there worth? Can the points lost thru interference that slightly slows gpu work exceed the points gained by the cpu work?

Generally you want to leave one or two threads per GPU that you have folding free. In my gaming rig I have a 4770k and a Fury X. I only have it fold on 6 threads (7 seems to give me issues with Work Units on the CPU for whatever reason). It is a great way to get some extra points for competitions like this...every little bit helps. I don't remember exactly but I think on the 6 threads I get 20-25k ppd from the cpu.

Hmmm, Xeons? My aim is to have a 2P rig for BOINCing and have another Xeon rig on a ITX board to be my mobile server/workstation.

It was worth a shot lol.

I am pretty sure there is a good market for the OG Titans so they should go quick.

Default the client sets itself up as -1 when it detects a capable GPU. So CPU cores/threads minus 1. For an 8 core it will default to 7. For a quad it will use 3 cores.

There are some WUs that don't play well with prime number threads like 5,7,11. They are often excluded for many WUs and there are sometimes shortages for the few WUs available to prime core counts. Prime x2 also has lesser Wu availability as well. Examples are 10(2x5) and 14 (2x7).

I run the same. 1 GPU and 6 threads on my CPU with my 3770k.

1366 Xeons. One set will be hex cores, the other quad. I'm not sure if the power hungry hex cores will be sold, I'm on the fence right now. They're pushing up to 70k ppd while feeding the 980ti. The L5640s were doing up to 50k max, but used way less power.

That's basically the setup I've got now...minus a half dozen GPUs or so. smile.gif
