[Zauba]AMD have begun shipping Polaris GPUs - 2 different Polaris chips and 4 different GPUs found

AMD have begun shipping Polaris GPUs from the foundries. Based on the information from Zauba, it seems to be two different Polaris chips/families, each with 2 different SKUs/GPUs. Total of 4 new Polaris GPUs. The one with the biggest value is the full Polaris while the other one is the same Polaris GPU but with some shaders/cores disabled.

Polaris chip #1:
GPU #1: Board number: C981
This one is the full chip

GPU #2: Board number: C980.
Based on the value and the board number I would guess that this one is the same as above but have some shaders/cores disabled. Like Fury X and Fury.

Polaris chip #2:
GPU #3: Board number: C924
Full chip

GPU #4: Board number: C913
Disabled shaders/cores

Earlier GPUs:
Fury X.
Board number: C880

Fury X2.
Board number: C888

R9 200/300 series: Board number C6xx and C7xxx.

These sorts of leaks tend to be reasonably reliable IIRC. You do not want to lie to customs when you're an international company, ever. That ends poorly. Is anybody versed in how they name their PCBs?

Its in the OP. Zauba. I found it.

If you are unsure about board numbers, TechPowerUp have a good database where you can search around
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/

Tip:
200/300 series have these board numbers: 6xx and 7xx.
Fiji have: 8xx.

Looks like AMD will be first to market with the next generation after all.

So what about people still on GCN 1.X? I know there was a new architecture coming up but people barely had their RX 300 series card for around 6 months. Hopefully AMD keeps up driver support for us because my card is technically only around a month or two old.

What does it mean? How long did it take them to release new gpus after people saw those lists last time?

Everyone that bought a 300 series should have known something would replace them soon-ish imo. We have been stuck with 200 series and 28nm for faaar too long.
About damn time we get something new.

I wouldnt be too concerned about them ditching support for your card though. RTG have listed 300 series in the recent 2016 chart about HDR

Urgh... Given the speed at which these first cards are coming out, I smell a rehash of a 3XX card. For the initial cards at least.

No, why would they rebrand a rebrand that just came out less than a year ago? These are probably low power OEM cards. Isn't that what AMD stated that they'll be rolling out the low-power cards first with Polaris and the high performance cards will come later?
