You can actually select an option to have the LED display show 'CPU' temp after the mobo finishes booting - It is an option in bios.
Probably not a feature many would use.

TPM is an international standard for security. I used it on my Maximus V Formula, Rampage IV Black Edition. The Rampage V Black Edition has it. The Maximus VIII Hero has a header along with most of the other boards in the z170 lineup except for the Maximus VIII Hero Alpha, Formula, and Extreme.

You can get the latest driver from Killer's website because the card is a QUALCOMM card. Download the Standard Drivers (no Killer Features)

Anyone else notice the Maximus VIII Formula and Extreme don't have TPM headers? Why!?

am also having frequent wifi disconnect issue. Am gonna try your method, hope it works!

Shall update if it does

Do you use Windows 10? I have the same problem, wifi disconnecting randomly, and I found lots of threads indicating that Windows 10 might be the problem. There are many users that had no problem in Windows 7 and after the update to 10 these problems started (and they have all kinds of motherboards/wifi adapters). I am currently in the process of trying the solutions I found, no luck so far.

I have not had an issue with this card or the Killer 1535 using Windows 10 with an Asus RT-AC3200. I actually love these mu-mimo wireless adapters. I can't stand Broadcom wireless adapters because they all have loud coil whine. Even the m.2 adapters, I like the intel adapters but they don't work on a certain operating system I run.

If you haven't already, enable MU-MIMO in your router settings. Make sure you update the driver.

Edit: Also not sure if we have any Linux users. Our wifi adapter does work but doesn't have the correct firmware in linux-firmware package.

Glad it's working for you! Just a heads up I was using the 12.0.0.230 driver from Killer's website and noticed it was causing major stutter on overclock.net. Ran latencymon and ndis.sys was in the 2000's due to ths driver. I suggest installing 12.0.0.262

Bios v1902 was released the other day.

Have been using it for the last few days with no anomalies noted.

One feature that is now supported is that the Formula VIII will now (finally..!) retain its mobo Aura LED colours/scheme even if it is totally switched off at the mains etc....thumb.gif

ASUS must have modified the firmware so that the AURA settings are now stored in non volatile memory space.

Got a question and hope someone can help. I have a G2 variant of the EK d5 pump, the one that is supposed to have the correct pwm spec. I have the pwm pump lead plugged into the pump header on the M8F, and for the life of me I can't adjust the pump speed. It is stuck at 100%. Anybody possibly know what I am missing? I have tried to take off smart monitor to do manual and it won't let me change from smart. I know it's probably simple but can't seem to get it worked out. Thanks for any help.

Solved. Pump header on the mb is apparently specific to aio cooling solutions such as nzxt kraken etc. I plugged the D5 pwm cable into the Cha Fan 4 header and works fine now.
