Apparently ASUS is aware of the issue as there hsve been many reports on their ROG forum which have been passed onto ASUS.

So hopefully we will see an updated driver package soon.

The link I posted in my previous post is actually a beta version (apparently) of their next release. This fixed the issue for me.

The problem I guess I was having is the fact the audio apps weren't installing properly with the driver package. I've never installed them separate like with the link you put up. I now have access to sonic studio and icons to get into the programs without going to the realtech control panel in windows control panel. thumb.gif

OK that definitely does not sound right... What program are you using to read the sensor?

Have you checked the monitor screen directly in BIOS? If this reading is high then you may have a faulty sensor.

Normally this sensor should read close to the ambient air temp that is in your case.

I dont use any program. I checked the temp through bios. So in this case should I rma this?

Or maybe im lacking airflow in the board since im using watercool in the core p5 case

That is definitely not the problem. I am running a Maximus VIII Formula in the Core P5 all on water, same setup as you and my BIOS is reporting 27C for mobo temp. I think @Costas is right with a faulty mobo temp sensor. Unfortunately, it might be time to RMA. mad.gif

BIOS 2202 is up for the Formula VIII

CPU Microcode update - I also noted some major improvements to the memory training speeds from cold & warm boot scenarios.

I have downloaded it a couple of days ago, but I did not flash it yet. (Noob question: cold and warm boot scenarios??)
