Yes.

You can get quad core i5-6300hq along with the 960m 4GB vram for 700 on sale, of which there was 2 just recently compared to a DDR3 950m and ULV processor.

While your machine suits you fine and obviously you like which is important in its own right, spec wise you could've done better. Though no idea if you would have liked the actual laptop so maybe the point is moot.

See here

When not on sale, its typically 800 iirc See here.

Ah yea I remember looking into that, I didn't go with it because it had plastic construction, plenty of keyboard and monitor flex, and had marginally better preformance at the expense of crappier construction. I'm gonna be carrying this thing around and using it all the time, I don't want it made of plastic. Plus, I have plenty of great experience with asus. I say 900 because of tax and shipping included, so 800 when not on sale.

Marginal? 950m DDR3 < 960m GDDR5 by quite a bit.

Then you have a ULV processor which are meant for, well, saving power.

I run a Dell precision and its built like a brick, while being made of plastic. The issue I have with metal is once its bent, its stuck and very difficult to mold back into place.

Your paying over 11% tax on what you buy? I'd jump state ASAP.

Well, that's it.

I'm getting the one on microcenter website.

for $1399.99 + $19.85 for shipping,

Hambone07si, could you tell me microcenter return policy. I sent them an email, and waiting for their response.

Do you know their policy to international transactions?

If there's a problem with the laptop, would they count the extra time from my country to USA?

It's not complete international transaction, because I set shipping address to my country's post office in New Castle, Delaware.

Hey bud, they only give you a 15 day return period. So you have 2 weeks pretty much from the date of your receipt. The only time they have a longer period for returns is starting the day after thanks giving. If you buy on black friday or after it's considered to be a Christmas gift and then you have til January 8th to return it. So that period is 11-27th ish ( date changes ) til January 8th , doesn't matter when you buy it in that period you still have til 1-8 of the next year. Unless you buy it on say 1-1 , then you have 15 days from that date.

If you are buying from there, I would have them ship it as fast as you could. Or if you know someone in the States to buy and try it for you and make sure it's all good, and then ship to you that might be a good idea.

OK, I actually sent email about return policy.

So they replied with a nice answer:

"If any of the item you receive are damaged, or are not working properly, we will be able to issue an RMA for the products to be sent back to us. As long as you contact us to set up and RMA within the return period for the item(s), we will be able to do the return regardless of how long it takes to ship back to us. Please let us know if you have any more questions."

Pretty nice smile.gif

So, now I want to buy the laptop.

Before, I could see the laptop in the cart for $1399.99 + $19.85 for shipping.

Now, it's not, and shows that I have to pay $120 to 124 for tax, and for store pickup!

After, I set the USA international post office address.

So, what to do now?

In Amazon it's for $1499.

I want to see if there's a possibility to buy it from the microcenter and ship it to New Castle, DE.

And get benefit for $100 to ship the laptop to my country, at least half of that number, maybe $50.

Hello,

I'm still looking for a laptop.

After searching, I found these laptops:

Lenovo Ideapad Y700 15 Laptop - Core i7-6700HQ, 16GB RAM, 15.6in Full HD Display, 1TB HDD and 128GB SSD, GTX 960M 4GB
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016YFRGQ0?ref_=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_t

GIGABYTE P37Wv4-BW2T, 17.3" FHD IPS NVIDIA GTX970M Broadwell i7-5700HQ 16GB RAM 256GB mSSD 1TB HDD Windows 10 Slim & Light Gaming Laptop Computer
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015KSAMTU?ref_=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_t

I changed my mind towards the MSI and ASUS because they sees to be little bulkier than gigabyte and Lenovo.

What's your opinion?
