[Build Log] Project Damn You Google! C70 Case mod - Page 2

Yes definitely worth it trying to mod in the existing ones! Great idea!

Much better than my idea of a new piece of acrylic! thumb.gif

The effects of being outside of the EU or US has taken it's toll.

The only on-line store in AU that sells Monsoon acrylic tubes and fitting sold out of tubes.
Then the product was removed from there website. I contact them and they have no ETA for the arrival.

I looked at ordering from another site outside of the AU but shipping cost were more than my fittings for 1 tube

I had one tube left but it was to short, so I had to get an extender to to reach. Not ideal but functional.

this completes the loop.

Nest will be leak testing, and minor tweaks to the ascetics

Leak Testing!

This was done with deionised water (Closest thing to distilled water I could find in the supermarket)

24hrs Later

I still have work to do,

Sleeved cabling, new window panel etc.

The result so far I think is very pleasing.

I love the look of the case and how it all fits

I here you, this wasn't a cheap endeavour, and PCCASEGEAR no longer stock clear monsoon tubes. It's a shame, it's a lot of fun and I think looks a lot cleaner.
does make the challenge a little more rewarding I think when you start seeing the fruits of your work

I got a suggestion for u.

U can actually get acylic tubes from a local Perspex supplier.

U can make couple calls to check.

The last time I check. A local supplier stocked 12mm OD 10ID which is the same as pccg. Furthermore it's cheaper. I think it was 2M for 12bucks.

Hope it helps.

I tried that,

The only place in Bendigo that sell Acrylic tube doesn't stock the right size.

Monsoon fittings have the plastic barbs that need to be glued on to the tube.

I even got an Alphacool 16mm tube, but that didn't fit either.
