New to fan splitting. Want to split 2 120MM fans for a push/pull on Corsair H80i GT.

So, I have 4 fan connections on my motherboard and I want to connect an additional 120mm fan to my corsair h80i GT for the push/pull config. I've never done this before so I'm not sure what the "rules" are regarding powering each fan. From what I understand, each fan will split the power of the 3 or 4 pin connector reducing their potential max RPMs. Each of my 120mm fans use a 3 pin connector. Any advice?

If fans are pwm getting a pwm y connector, if 3 pin get a 3pin y connector

Just get 4 pin y spliter, they work for 3 pin fan aswell, and in case you get 4 pin fan, they will still work.

Thanks. The 4th pin is just for automatic speed control on fans, right?

Doesn't the H80i GT already come with two fans that hook up to the pump through a y-adapter?

Two fans but no Y-adapter to speak of. Just got a 4-pin y splitter from Amazon. Works like a charm.
