Projects of the Month for January 2016 - Page 4

Gridcoin hasn't backed off, it appears that they have just leveled out. Not increasing production but not really reducing either.

About 20mil PPD looks like the average at this point. I was wondering where they went, and I found that they are now hammering away at Collatz 70+ mil PPD today up from 60+ Mil yesterday. They have an overtake on everyone ahead of them. EVERYONE.

I've switched two boxen back to Collatz as the overtake on my position is down to 0.12 days 250k points.

So there will be a natural reduction in my Poem production.

70+million per day? I can handle about 2/3rds of that. (if I put all my boxen on it)

Their overtake on us is 54 days.

So right now my loyalties are divided I want to help Poem, but Collatz is becoming critical for me.

So don't be surprised if I move over rather quickly. smile.gif

If you want to move over to protect your collatz position, I will make sure and keep all my stuff (gpu) on poem until the ffw. I like doing the medical/biological stuff over the math anyway.

I had to stop Poem on some rigs, Boincing weather seems to be over at least for now and house was starting to get way too hot

Just changed my Boinc name to No.15 Hopefully the stats associate my old work with my new name

Is it possible to get my forum name changed as well. Does anyone know? confused.gif

BOINC may or may not get everything under one cpid. Any retired projects will not port over to the new username.

As far as OCN goes, name changes, in most cases, are not allowed. It would be best to PM a moderator about it.

Cool. I don't have any retired projects with a bunch of points so no problem there. Both poem and wcg let me change with seemingly no issues, so time will tell.

I PM'ed Enterprise about the name change on the forum.

POTM Update

DENIS@Home

Start: 1 - Goal: 1 - Currently: 1  | Beta tasks have been getting pushed out in bunches, and we have been able to grab a good number of them.  We'll see what happens when the final app has a full release.

NFS@Home

Start: 26 - Goal: 25 - Currently: 26  |  Our steady climb into the top 25 continues.  We won't make it this month, but great job by the crunchers who have been running it. :D

Universe@Home

Start: 18 - Goal: 12 - Currently: 14  | We are steadily moving closer top the top 10. :thumb:

POEM@Home

Start: 5  - Goal: 3 - Currently: 3  |  Gridcoin's production has leveled off, and it looks like we have weathered the storm for now.

I'm still kicking around some ideas for the February POTM, but I have been getting crushed at work.  I hope to have something up this weekend. :thumb:

I started to move my stuff to f@h because of the FFW. I won't get to do it tomorrow so I switched early. I am going to jump back on poem after the contest, unless there is something from the potm that needs focus.

I am not 100% sure on what the projects will be for February.  I am also swapping over a few GPUs to F@H for the FFW.

I should have the February POTM thread up tomorrow.

*Edit* February POTM
