Building a X99 system, Buying parts next week, wanted professional feedback and opinions on the build. - Page 10

Thread Starter
I got my parts today and realized I got a 850 evo 500 gb pcie ssd instead of the 950/951 pro ssd.
Should I go back and return it and get the right one or is it not worth the work? This is the ssd that will hold my os and most used programs and games.

Edit: The 850 evo is 500 gb the 950 pro is 256 gb
The 950 has 4/5 times the read speeds of the 850
The price is very similar.
The only problem would be the bother of going to Chicago to change the ssd to the right one which took 3 hours for me to get and would take another 3 hours.

Edit 2: Im not sure if I need 1 tb of ssd space since I already have another 500 gb 850 evo and this would mean I would just have a sata one and a ssd one

This ssd is gonna be my main boot drive and hold all my main programs and games so I was gonna get one with less space and higher speeds. Really sucks I screwed up now so much more work and worrying.

I would. 850 EVO has TLC nand and is much slower.
