I might end up keeping it, it's not as bad as I originally thought.

Great- why not do a video review of it and put on YouTube- proper review with pro and cons. Not many of them for this monitor.

Example video (flickers within the first 30 seconds): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCb6kkdRTIg

Turns out that upgrading from my GTX 780 to a GTX 1080 has solved the issue, so it is either a driver bug or an issue with the Displayport 1.2 on the GTX 780 (4k @ 60Hz is the max rating as you know).

Now I'm glad that that's gone, but noticed another weird behaviour (already reported a few times in this thread I think): Every few hours, the monitor briefly shows a few lines of artifacts; I think it's only on one half of the screen. It's just a blink of an eye and then it's gone, so it doesn't bother me, but still, I'd like to point a finger at someone. My guess is, that it's a driver issue and not actually the monitors fault, or has anybody seen this on an AMD card too?

Most of it was IPS glow after further investigation. There is a little bit of bleed on some of the edges, but my good X34 has that as well.

I've never made or put any videos on youtube. I've never really been interested in doing that kind of stuff. I did watch the video reviews that I found and was surprised that there were very little reviews on this monitor. Heck, Tftcentral didn't even seem to do a review of this monitor.

I picked one of these up from Amazon for a decent price, relatively speaking ($150 below MSRP.) So far, I'm fairly impressed with the monitor.

I had originally moved from a Dell U2713HM over to an Asus ROG Swift PG278Q. At the time, I was playing a lot of online FPS matches, and I couldn't believe how much better the GSync monitor was. It felt like I was suddenly cheating. The input lag on the Dell was atrocious, but it was a beautiful IPS display.

The ROG Swift being TN was offset by the 144 Hz and GSync. Now I've stepped "diagonally" over to the Acer Predator XB321HK and I'm extremely pleased with the input latency compared to my old IPS.

I'm also very happy about the 32" UltraHD pixel density increase from the 27" 1440p displays. I could definitely see the pixels on 1440p screens, although no "screen door" effect, so moving up to UltraHD almost reminds me of the experience with my original 15" Retina Macbook Pro. That's tough to beat, though (220 PPI vs 137 on the UltraHD screen.)

So, what's your favorite thing about this display? The 100% RGB for photo editing? Ultra HD movie streaming? Project Cars? Holy cow, Project Cars.

My only questions about this monitor have to do with the sparse documentation online and provided with the monitor, while the OSD has settings for Black and Blue adjustments, a "Gaming Mode" (is this just for those who don't have GSync or don't *want* to use GSync? If so...why buy a GSync monitor?)

Aside from not noticing occasional dip to 45-52 FPS in game due to GSync, I really like always-on USB charging from the all 4 USB ports on this thing. Allow me to plug in my G900 wireless mouse for charging overnight so I can have it back to 100% in the morning. My previous Benq 4K had USB 3 ports too but you can't charge with them with the PC off.

For calibration and review I recommend Tom's hardware's review just published last week, I learned a lot about how to tweak this monitor and use OSD from that.

The stand is also very nice, give me just enough room to slot in a tablet in front so I can stream anime/keep track of emails while browsing or gaming.
