Finalmouse tournament ? - Page 28

Got mine today. Impressions below:

Pros:
-Shape feels nice
-Lighter than my EC2-A

Cons:
-Both (!) LMB and RMB feels loose and rattles like described in earlier posts
-Annoying rattle (separate from the button-rattle) from within the mouse somewhere
-Very stiff and annoying braided cord
-LED is brighter than the sun (no really, it actually hurts your eyes if you look straight at it)

Looks like this is going back, definitely not worth the price. I could however see it being a good alternative with some better QC and a lower price. And for god's sake, at least give us the choice to turn of the horrible LED!

i dont have any rattling issues so i guess im lucky?

the only issues with mine are the weird gaps in the shell where the light comes through and a coating issue where i have little dots of rubber missing and the light comes through. not a big deal because my hand covers it but for $70+ i feel like the mouse should have a much higher quality of build. this thing is worth $40 at most.

in the end though i dont really care about any of this because i love the shape/weight (well i wish it was a little lighter), its a perfect fit for me.

To be fair i haven't seen any other reports on rattling (except from loose buttons), so i guess it was just a bonus on my unit. I honestly think they're on to something with the shape, if the scream 1 has better QC it could be a winner with the 3360 (although i personally have no problems at all with the 3310). I just feel the price is way too high on the TP for what you're getting. I'm gonna wait for the scream and see what ppl have to say about it when it arrives.

Hello,

We have been made aware of the percentage of light bleed defects, and it is completely unacceptable. We have already made the changes for the next batch to eliminate this along with the more uncommon rattle defect that had occurred in this first batch. Apologies to anyone who has been experiencing dissatisfaction in this first batch. We will be addressing everything we have heard in the next upcoming batch, as well as for the scream one.

Thanks,
Jude

So what should we do? Return the mouse and wait until the next batch is released? as this is a bit of an annoying situation at this moment in time.

Hello Fragil1ty,

I completely understand your frustration. At this point unfortunately the light bleed out of the side buttons is an issue with the tooling that we can not fix immediately within the next week or two. It will require the next batch.

But I will make sure that support accommodates you in whatever way you think is best given your deserved annoyance with the light bleed.

THanks,
Jude

If only you could just turn the LEDs off.

The theme with Finalmouse is that it will always be fixed in the next mouse. This is the $70 experience.

Has anyone had any luck ordering one in Canada recently? Saw the tweet saying amazon was unable to ship the tournament pro internationally but figured it would be fixed a week later. Thanks

To be honest dude, I wouldn't even bother ordering one right now, the amount of problems they're having? It's just not worth it.
If you want a decent mouse then get the FM 2016 Ergo, 3rd FM in a week tomorrow and no doubt that one will have issues also. Lol.

Just ordered this mouse today since I need a new one, but I have a couple of questions for those of you more experienced with mice.

Is the Finalmouse better for a fingertip grip than the Deathadder is? I've used the Deathadder for 5 years but I've been playing FPS games a lot more than I used to and the Deathadder just seems too heavy for me and I feel like I don't have as much control as I can over the mouse.

Anyone go from a Deathadder to this mouse? I'd like to hear some opinions/comparisons from a person who has made the switch or owns both mice.
