steam guard already pisses me off enough with it constantly being a pain asking for a code that takes ages to arrive via email when i simply want to log into one of my computers to play a quick game.

i'm with you on this, i sell off all my skins and crate for pocket change the moment i get them.

i'm constantly being harassed and called a noob for not having weapon skins

Sucks for that guy.

I certainly wouldn't want my steam inventory messed with in any way. Then again I don't download and install things from untrusted sources. Folks should really be more careful.

While I'm with you on the first part...

Those email comes to me in an instant. And I use my own domain email for Steam not some well known service. That's strange. But then again, even a new browser (on the same PC) wants a new code, that really is irritating.

Well, if you sell through steam, you won't be making any useable money, certainly. Through unsafe, outsider means you may just do so wink.gif

Damn. Good point actually. And if you could exchange it for real hard currency then I'd bet all the sudden all kinds of authorities would be looking into it how and how much could they tax you for "generating wealth" - it would suck if you would have to pay, for example, 250 EUR all the sudden ASAP to the tax office because you had an epic loot drop and according the regulations Steam had to notify the tax office the second it dropped.

Wow! You've been playing with/against the wrong people! I don't have any skins on my guns, but i haven't been "harassed" by anyone about it.

I rather spend that kind of money on hardware too...
Call me old-fashioned, but it's NOT the same thing. I get what you're saying, but even an argument based on psychology can't legitimize purchasing a $2000 skin for CS:GO with the same rationale whereby one would buy a $2000 article of clothing.

Someone mentioned virtual items having real world value?
