[Scratch Build] Woodbox [UPDATE 13/02/2016]

Thread Starter

Been planning this build since i sold my previous case due to my actual space limitations (too big and heavy). I didn't want to spend a lot $$ on it since it will be more a benchtable than a "full case", so I'll be using old wood planks from my backyard, althoug they'll get a rejuvenation in the process (or at least i'll try lol tongue.gif).
The main structure will be full made of wood with some metal and yellow accents (due to the components color).

For the components i'll be using my current main rig:

Motherboard: MSI Z87 Mpower SP
CPU: Pentium G3258 @4.5Ghz
CPU Cooler: Lepa LV12 Black
GPU: Powercolor R9 280X TurboDuo
GPU Cooler: Prolimatech MK-26
Ram: Crucial Ballistix Tactical @1866Mhz
HDD: WD Caviar Black 1Tb
SSD: Corsair Force GT 90Gb
PSU: OCZ ZT-750 750w

This is the main idea and what i'm aiming to, but it could be subject to changes.

This is the wood i'll be using, it's not as bas as it looks tongue.gif

Did some work this yesterday on the main structure.

Some mnpctech love thumb.gif

The most "perftect" circle you'll see today biggrin.gif

After some (a lot tongue.gif) sanding it starts to look nice redface.gif

I left a hole above the PSU because there is where the 8pin cpu cable is going to pass through.

Yeah but the far right looks more like your model. The middle one looks dull, but hey whichever you like, I've always liked darker color wood finishes. Either way this build is going to be sick, I can't believe no one else has subbed this build. Definitely an original build, I love it.
