For Sale:
[For Sale] GIGABYTE Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti G1 Gaming 6GB Video Card 1,404MHz Stock

Will Ship To: US48

Pristine, lightly used GIGABYTE GTX 980 Ti G1 Gaming purchased December 2015.
It comes in the original retail box with all accessories.

Gigabyte claims a boost clock of 1,279MHz in OC mode, but this particular card boosts to 1,404MHz at stock. I have never overclocked this card, the factory GPU clock is amazing.

Gigabyte warranties by serial number. Warranty on the GTX 980 Ti G1 Gaming is 3 years.

$590 shipped to the lower 48 US states. Local pickup available too.

Any coil whine?

Not at idle. Under load there is a little buzz, noticeable if I have my case open. There is whine at the Witcher 3 menu screen, but I think that's normal. If you google Witcher 3 menu you see hits about it making video cards whine. My GTX 780 Classifieds also did that when FPS got really high. I had four of these cards and they all behaved the same way so I think it's just par for the course. Could be my PSU as well I guess.

I can make a video of idle, load, Witcher 3 menu screen and upload it when I get home. That would probably be helpful.

ASIC is 73.4%. I actually never OCed this card because at stock it's doing 1,404MHz.

I made some vidoes I'll upload them when I get some time. It's silent (aside from fans) except on the Witcher 3 start menu, where you can hear some whine.

Great card, like you said, it could be your PSU causing it to whine a bit. What PSU do you have?

I recently replaced mine and all coil whine is gone which I've had through both AMD and NVIDIA gpu's, so in my case it was definitely the PSU.

Cooler Master V1000. I think it's just the Witcher 3 loading screen. Otherwise it's quiet under load. I made some videos and will upload them.

I just loaded witcher 3, haven't played it yet but wanted to see if it would whine a bit and it did...just slight, I had all sound off and I was listening for it. It's nothing anyone would notice while actually playing the game with sound, so like you said, it's probably just the game.
