Still not a game I can't max at 4k or surround at this point with the Titan x's. If they release another great product I will support them.

Well GP100 is going to run hot that much is true.

i'm drooling at the possibility of the next $200 card to be more or less on par with GTX970.

performance summary:
GTX960 + 50% = GTX970
GTX960 + 50% = GTX1060
GTX970 = GTX1060

PS: this means the price bracket for minimum required hardware in VR would go down from a $330 card to a $200 card.

so, whatever happened to the expected performance leap of Pascal?

Are we actually going to see it?

If FLOPS and memory bandwidth translated to real life gaming performance, Fury X would be the uncontested champion by a large margin.

But, what good 4K monitors do we have? I mean, good for gaming that are at least 90Hz, IPS and that their cost is not in 4-digit numbers ?

4K is a joke, unless you're playing on a screen 70"+. 4K on a 27" screen is like 4K on 5.5" mobile phone screens. Absolutely absurd. Nothing, but ego stroking purposes being served.

/Rant

New Titan maybe that means 144hz @ 1440P will be obtainable in SLI with Witcher 3? Nope, somehow I doubt it.

Are you far-sighted? I'm near-sighted and I can tell 323 ppi very easily. It is a night and day difference reading texts, too. The only screen I couldn't see the grid is Samsung's Amoled. Believe me when I say there are people looking for these details. You're just blinded by your experience.

Now that is absolute CRAP. I have twin 4k 28" monitors (B286HK) and I love them. In fact I kinda wish they were higher resolution. Although I cant see the pixels, unlike my 23" 1080p screens they replaced, I can still easily see aliasing. Even 2x AA isn't enough at this pixel density. So don't give me that crap that you need a 70"+ screen to experience the benefits of 4k.

You need 200% downsampling in order to eliminate 2x2 helper pixel('quad') aliasing. Doesn't matter which form(SSAA/DSR/VSR/Resolution scaling); however it will still be present when 16K displays enter the market. It is related with how the rendering is done.

Nothing to do with Resolution.

Everything to do with the screen itself being better.

Its like TN vs IPS. The visual improvement is huge, not because of resolution but because the technology is better.
