if the latter I fear it may get in the way again like it always did on the G502 though this looks differently shaped so it may not be so bad here ...

It's a button. Your thumb is supposed to rest on the orange thingy so it would not get in the way. For people with short hand like me, it takes a lot of effort to reach that button so I haven't used it at all mad.gif

Yea it's a third button. Hopefully it doesn't bother.

My fingers are longer so i'll see how it is, the sniper button on the 502 was fine for me.

well I have big hands so I may have the opposite problem, the thumb will rest on the button instead of on the rubber

still tempted to try it, the regular Rival (Rival 300) is one of the best mice I have ever gripped, but I hate that it doesnt have a frame around the sides of the LMB/RMB, I really require that frame otherwise I never know where to rest my ring finger (or rather the ideal resting place for the ring finger is on that right frame IMHO)

I did, SS is slow with shipping. Very slow. I ordered yesterday morning at 8:12 am. Took them until today at 4 pm to ship.

Alright i just got home from work & my package had been delivered. These are first impressions of feel & that is really all. I have not playtested the mouse.

The Buttons all around are great, Mouse 1 & 2 have a great feel with a solid click & feel, better than i thought they would be. The 300 buttons were mushy to me even though i liked them, the 700's buttons are less quiet as well.

Scroll up & down is nice, not very loud & mouse 3 is a pretty relatively easy click.

Mouse 4 & 5 feel very darn good, much better than the 300 side buttons. The feed back on the buttons is satisfying. The sniper button does not bother, my thumb does not touch it, where my thumb ends the button is just ahead of it, so i have to attempt to hit it, no accidentals. The orange memory spots on the side are too of no bother.

Side grips on both sides feel rather good, like a rubber/plastic i suppose, they feel good on the skin, no grip issues at all.

The weigh of the mouse while it is obviously heavier than most & considered a brick to plenty, it feels good to me, no complaints.I can use both light & heavy mice. The weight feels evenly distributed & i have no issues thus far.

The Shape if you can imagine is a smaller rival, it feels amazing in my hand, SS nailed it here. Along with the 1 & 2's, scroll, forward and back buttons. As it feels in the hand currently, they get a great pat on the back. From buttons to shape i have 0 issues. Do not care for the OLED screen at all & the weight is up to you to decide on. I hoped but am surprised how good it feels in the hand.

Mouse cords: Braided cable is pretty flexible, nothing special really.

Rubber cable is a bit better than the 300 Rival, Less stiff.

Here are some pics of the mouse & packaging.

Comparison pics are next to the Ec2-A & Overwatch Deathadder Chroma.

How does the sensor and shape feel compared to ec2a?

While i certainly like the 2-a's shape, the Rival feels more natural in the hand, the little extra length, width & height are all noticeable & are welcomed in the hand.

The sensor i am getting ready to test in game & see how it feels to me. Hopefully it is solid.
