hey all im not sure what to do. i have had a HAF X for over 5 years but recently the front usbs seem to have become faulty as devices will randomly disconect for no resson and sometimes resorting to my pc crashing . im not clued up enough to no how to repair damaged usb ports but with the right advise i could prob do it but getting to them with this case is not easy but not impossible allso i am housing 2 980tis one being a hybrid and this case dosent seem to be ideal for this setup. so im wondering if i should go with the usb replacements and stick with the HAF X or indeed get a new case. but i dont no whats good and whats not for this setup. idealy i think harddrive cages in the front is not so good. and would need some sort of fan on the bottem of case to keep gpus cool since currently i cant do that with this setup. anywaz cases iv been looking at . thoughts sugestions?

HAF X is pretty dated in terms of aesthetics and features. If you're looking to go with something in a similar price range, consider Phanteks Enthoo Pro. Really nice mounting options, well-constructed, not gaudy looking, but still has a window.

Out of the ones you listed, the 600C catches my eye, but I have an affinity for alternate case layouts. Using a TJ11 with a reverse ATX layout myself smile.gif

I have the HAF X case and just recently "retired" it to my backup rig I use in my room. I replaced it with the Fractal Design S. Can't Say I'm disappointed at all! I got plenty of room for my build and cable management is nice. Price tag is also half of what I paid for my HAF X about 5 years ago or so.

I highly recommend the fractal define design S. It will definitely house your parts no problem. Phanteks has good case as well

The HAF X doesn't really have anything notable in its favor other than the fact you already own it, but on the other hand it isn't really lacking anything important either (despite what some users here claim).

At the end of the day, you would have to determine why you want to replace your HAF X, and if the cost of doing so is worth it to you personally.

Not, as for your front USBs, do you know where the problem occurs? Is it a software issue within your OS, the headers on the motherboard, the connector that plugs into those headers, the cable leading to the front panel, the front panel itself, etc?

well for one the harddrive cadges are blocking airflow to the graphics card and there is no were to fit a fan below it and the card dose not have much room on the side .i had to remove the fanduct otherwise i could not close the case allso instlaling a watercooler was a pain with this case and i have to replace that aswell and i now from experince installing one was not easy and as for the usbs only the 2 3.0 ons work. the others are damaged.the metal bar bettwen the two somhow got disloged and pulled out so now the usbes cant be connected.there loos and there is no connection. all in all its an old case. i have liket it though.
