H100i GTX radiator orientation in Graphite 760T

Thread Starter
Hey guys

I got a new Graphite 760T coming from a 600T in December and after dissembling my PC to rebuild into the 760T, I noticed that the rubber end caps/boots were cracked (I presume from exposure to temperature changes) as illustrated below on my H100i (non-GTX) which the local supplier exchanged for a new GTX version instead smile.gif

I now want to install the new GTX and was wondering about the orientation of the radiator:

1.) Have the hoses facing the back of the machine close to the rear fan:
1.1) PRO: the Corsair logo branding on the side of radiator will be the on the left and not upside down
1.2) CON: in my opinion (correct me if I am wrong), will the least ideal as the hoses will be to some degree (even if little) obstructing / restricting airflow of the rear chassis fan

2.) OR, have the hoses facing the front of the machine close top the 5.25 drive bays:
2.1) PRO: hoses facing the front of the chassis will restrict airflow the least
2.2.) CON: the Corsair logo branding will be on the right and in an upside down position

I see there were other people who raised this concern as well: link

Could you guys kindly share your thoughts please? Thanks.

Regards,
CTV

The 600T is already sold to a fellow Carbonite member in December already... sorry...

I tend to agree with your suggestion, but the OCD in me is ranting inside as the corsair logo will be upside down then?!

The upside-down logo has been a common complaint about the radiators in their new series. They said they were coming out with both different radiator plates for orientation and different colored strips (same goes for colored CPU strips) but it's gone dark and no word for a long time now.

If the orientation bothers you that much I'd just remove the strip and make it look like a plain rad.

My vote goes for the second orientation in pic #2

I put the cpu block like in the first picture, because the tubes are otherwise a bit too long.

But i didn't like the upside-down logo either. So i just wrapped it in carbon vinyl, which i still had left.
Now I can't see it, so i don't care tongue.gif

Have you got links / references / discussions to these supposed radiator plates? Is there any way to get in touch with CorsairGeorge for an update?

good luck getting response from the reps these days..its been months since i last heard anything from any of them...you can even submit a ticket...its DOA...this time of year wit all the new launches and expos are crazy busy with these people...i think ive left the reps on OCN now about 5-10 pms..zero feedback...and related to others issues who need help from them and personal...

If memory serves correct with older models the logo plate could be removed and reorientated...my old h60 could...made the estethic so much more pleasing...
but in the end...Its more about perf and not looks dude..but some are more anal about looks...thumb.gif

There's plenty of other posts and talks, just need to dig for them if you're dedicated, but like X-Predator stated, it's going to be silent for a while or indefinitely for these products

It seems they anticipate it to become available within the next 4 weeks or so for all regions: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?p=832906#post832906 (see Greybeard's post near the bottom of the thread)

I'll hold my breath till I see the page and prices of them. I'd bet they'll release the CPU plate for the H110i GTX and not the GT because of the sizing differences. Radiator strips should be universal but this all remains to be seen.
