IDE>SATA adapters and IDE HDD

Hello. Recently i upgraded my motherboard from 960GC-GS FX to a 990FX Fatal1ty Killer. As the 960 is the last motherboard chipset that has IDE connector, i bought for 10$ a IDE/SATA adapter.
And here the problems begin.

Currently, i have 4 drives in total - 1 SSD with the OS, connected in SATA3_1, the Maxtor 6Y080L0, that has the IDE/SATA adapter put straight into its back, the 4pin power cable is in, and the SATA cable is going into SATA3_2; another Maxtor HDD, going straight into SATA3_3; and a ASUS DVD-RW going straight into SATA3_4.

The problem is as follows:

I have connected the IDE/SATA adapter, set to the proper jumper position and switch position, booted PC - in BIOS i get it recognized, POST was super fast (cant' see what its showing), Windows 10 boots for few seconds, gets into login screen, loads into desktop, all for 5-6 seconds. I go into My Computer - i see the HDD listed there (already formatted), everything seems fine. In Storage Manager everything seems fine as well. But here the problem comes.
I wasn't able to write ANYTHING to that drive. I thought it was permission issues. Went into Security tab - everything seems fine, owner was OWNER CREATOR. Tried to change it to my account - nope, THE PATH SPECIFIED IS INVALID. Tried reformating it - the same, as if the drive was assigned another number. I thought maybe i have flipped the jumper and switch positions vice-versa, so it wasn't allowing data travel.

Changed them. Nothing happens - the drive doesn't get detected anywhere.

I flip them back to the position they worked with - still the same, the drive doesn't get detected properly.

I decide to play with the drive jumper settings. The jumper was set to Master. I move it to Cable Select - same. Remove it to slave - same.

I tried all 6 possible options with the IDE/SATA adapter switch/jumper positions and the HDD jumper position. Either is not detected at all and PC boots lightning fast, OR the BIOS hangs at POST for 10-15 seconds, then it throws a line Detected ATA/ATAPI device/s... and proceeds to boot into Windows, where the HDD is still not detected. And if i enter BIOS during such POST, the Storage Configuration still shows SATA3_2: None, as if nothing is connected.

I would really want some help. Using P1.50 BIOS (latest) on the motherboard and Storage Configuration is running at AHCI Mode (set in BIOS), and Windows is installed under such.

Well.... not much of answers here.

Anyway. I returned the first piece of adapter. Got another one. Tried with another brand. Seems like the fault is actually in the Motherboard, or the BIOS. If i set the MB to work in IDE mode, it will probably recognize the HDD, but whats the point of the SSD, if it will work in IDE mode...
