Currently at a hackathon, not sure what to do.

As the title says, at a hackathon at my university and looking for some ideas of stuff to make, we have pretty good java experience and just started C++. Any ideas?

I might be a little late, but here are some ideas:

A 20Q app that starts with no questions and no answers and learns by people telling it the correct answer and a question that would distinguish the correct answer from an incorrect one. For example: Is it red or yellow? If red, guess apple and if yellow, guess banana. But if the word was tomato, the program would ask for a question to distinguish between an apple and a tomato, such as "Is it a vegetable?"

A slot machine that gives you a balance and lets you gamble it all away. biggrin.gif Make the number of combinations reasonably large (don't just have 3 stars you win, otherwise you lose).

An app that lets you input three components of a triangle and calculates the other three (you'll need to be good at trig to code this one).

Can't think of any more that would be appealing to a judge who's not an intensive math guy like me, but I hope this at least gives you some ideas.
