Need help trying to switch pins in modular Thermaltake PCI-E cable to work in Corsair PSU

I would need some help... I have got a new video card which uses 8+8 pin PCI-E but only have a modular 8+6 pin PCI-E cable with my old card, and all my other cables are gone (lost) so I had to ask my friend for a spare PCI-E cable and he gave me one. So I tried his Thermaltake cable and the connectors fit in my Corsair HX1050 PSU, except that when i try to turn on the system it does not turn on with the cable. I guess the wires/pins are not where they should be.

I'd need help trying to switch the pins in this PCI-E cable to work in my Corsair HX Series PSU for my new card. Does anyone know how to do this? I have done cable sleeving on PSU before so I know how to remove pins and put back, but I don't know what the wire leads differences are between these two brand PSUs.

Here's a pic of my Thermaltake cable:

If it's not possible i'll just have to buy a couple replacement PCI-E cables from someplace. I have two PCI 8-pin adapters, but both require molex and i lost my molex cable for my Corsair PSU also.

You would be better off getting a CableMod set instead og trying to re-pin some old crappy TT cables that might not work.

just went and decided to order a CableMod C-Series set now. i cant believe i spent so much money on cables... doh.gif but it would come out like buying two 8-pin pci-e cables separately would almost be the same price as buying a set that also included them, so thought that i'd may as well go for the basic set with atx and everything
