I know this has nothing to do with overclocking and I hope my question is ok to ask here. I was wondering if anyone knows why processors with the same part number look different. For instance the second generation i7-2820QM has some CPU's that are relatively blank on the top then other i7-2820QM's that have a bunch of resistors on the top? Are they truly the same spec? If so why do they look so different. At first I was thinking it had to do with where they were manufactured, but it seems like a completely different schematic? Thanks in advance for any insight on this puzzling CPU question (puzzling to me).
