I am running Windows 7 on my 2014 macbook pro with an i5-4278 that has iris 5100 graphics. While in OSX I have no trouble running the retina display and the 2560x1440 korean IPS panel monitor via HDMI out with a HDMI to DVI-D cable.

However when I switch to bootcamp and windows 7, I can only detect but not extend the display. The system gives me an error trying to apply the settings. This is also true with my two older dell work laptops, they can sort of see the display but can't push to it, with one of them the monitor light will turn green like it made a connection but no picture shows up.

At this point I'm assuming its a windows thing. I updated with the latest intel drivers for the 5100 GPU but I still can't recognize the external display. Does anyone know of how to resolve or better troubleshoot this issue?
