It took me faaarrrr longer to figure this one out than I am willing to admit. Ahem. I built my first computer in March of 2008. I think I've only been keeping my computer upright for unscrewing the screw and screwing it back in for maybe a couple of years at the most. Guess how many times I've dropped the screw into the computer. Guess how many times I've decided against cleaning my computer because I didn't want to deal with possibly dropping the screw into the computer again, or just because I didn't want to deal with that moment of, "omg, I must be careful. Omg, I must be careful. Omg, omg, omg, omg omg NO IT ALMOST FELL IN [RHYMES WITH TRUCK]!! GET IT QUICK!" Stressful.
Then one day all I wanted to do was pull out my sound card for some reason..... or some simple device like that. So, I decided that I didn't need to lay the computer down for surgery so to speak. As usual, I dropped the screw after unscrewing it and I was like, "OMG the screw fell onto the floor!! WOO-HOO! Look! I can pick it up no problem! There it is in my hands 2 seconds after dropping it!" I was excited. lol From that moment on, it was "always mess with the screw with the computer in the upright position!!! Always, always, ALWAYS!"
So now when I'm about to put a screw back in, I stand the computer up. "Ok, get up! It's time for your screw!" Or, "No, don't lay down yet: I still have to take out one of your screws!"
That's usually when it feels like I go nuts the most.
Hahaha your so funny "lay the computer down for surgery" and "Ok, get up! It's time for your screw!"
