The iPad Pro is exactly the same as the iPad Air which is exactly the same as the iPad Mini which is exactly the same as the iPhone.

Only difference is size. If people have a use for a big tablet like this, they'll buy it. And it'll do well, and if not, it won't.

I considered whether one would be useful for me or not but I just don't know. I have a Mini at the moment, and I like its portability though most of the time it is stationary. I regularly use it for study and wouldn't mind having two browsers open side by side or a browser and notes app open at the same time. Could do that with an Air 2 as well but the bigger size will probably be better.

Only comparisons I've seen is with Wacom's lesser iPad capable pens.

There're plenty of videos on Youtube of the comparison, many stated that the Pencil delivered less lag and more natural feel (no pointer on screen, shading, no shaking slow draw,...) but to say it is better is a bold claim though, I don't think it'll ever replace the Wacom's

Problem with the Pro is still the 'pro' apps, there's so lacking of that kind of apps that when I tried the thing in the store I don't know what to do other than doodling around on few apps, maybe after a few more generation situation will be better, I saw a video about a 3D CAD app being developed for it and it looks awesome with the Pencil. The potential is there but we still have to wait for the software :D

The reason it will not replace the wacom right now (if at all), is because wacom have a history, and knowledge, several options and product as well as different types of pens and nibs for different people work style, and their clintiq companion is a full out tablet as well able to run full photoshop.

The pro place is somewhere in the middle. Most likely it is a starting product which will be improved over time.

iOS is the bottleneck here.

People need a more powerful Facebook machine?

Thats not how it works. You have to have the latest model or your not cool enough and get rejected by your apple peers. Seriously i remember back in times of old when a work colleague was berated for owning an iphone 4 when the 5 came out for not having it on day one, pretty much nobody with the 5 would speak to them for a few days and mocked the person with older phone, randomly getting it out or speaking extra loudly about its features and shining it in the face of the other person.

All the techy people in the office had Andriod phones and were pretty much just bemused by the whole thing.

The key with owning an apple product is to accentuate the i < so you stand somewhere and say "i have got an iiiiiiiiPhone" in a posh accent... and it makes you feel all superior

Mostly, though. One upman ship is real.

It's too bloody big as a tablet only... I handled one at Bestbuy for a brief time. I've had every single IPad that has been released and I recently went from an Air 2 back down to a Samsung Tab S2 8" because I found the Air 2 simply too big to travel with. The Pro is monstrous. With that said it is a great piece of hardware but IOS? No real point to it. It is being hobbled by it's operating system.

Does it have a jailbreak yet. Its a must buy for me if it does.
I like a jailbroken iPhone much better than a rooted android.

What would you possibly want a 13 inch tablet for? Especially a beast of a 4:3 screen like that.

And of all things running iOS instead of a proper fully fledged OS.

They should've gone Core-M and OSX instead.
