by the way it is more restricted to overclock than I thought
important settings are missing.. like cpu fixed voltage, gfx frequency, etc.
so, now i need your help again and wanna update bios
however, the bios in this mobo is 3001 which is latest one not like your 2402 one
so could you please updated it for a10 7860k godavari?
and i am wondering you can mod it like asus a88xm-plus for some crucial settings enabled
thanks in advance!

As said several times before:

I can only fix the issue on ASUS boards which have the USB flashing hardware (USB Flashback) installed on board. ASUS disables the chipset SPI interface on AMD motherboards, which means that no 3rd party software can write the bios. Instead of the normal chipset SPI interface, ASUS uses proprietary IC for the bios interface. Only their own software can program the bios on these boards. The software will not write any bios file which has it's security signature broken. And modifying the bioses in any way will always break the signature.

So unless you have a board which has USB Flashback feature available (A88X-PRO, Crossblade Ranger) or you have a SPI programming device available, there is no way you can update the bios.

ASUS is the only manufacturer who does as stupid f*ckery as this mad.gif

The settings you mentioned are available in the bios. Just use the latest version available at ASUS site.

I think the cause was that I did not turn off the system after flashing. It went through 2 reboots and then to the OS.
Anyhow, reflashed, turned off the PC, now STILT appears in GPUZ biggrin.gif Thanks a lot!

one thing that really really unfortunate is that i updated bios just now..
i mean it was 2402 bios just 5 mins ago!! g*d*amn it frown.gif

however, is digi vrm on a88xm-a better than asrock ex4+ one?

and.. i cannot find another option really frown.gif...

Downgrading is not the problem. Flashing any bios which doesn't pass the signature checks (modified) is.

Stilt, how do you convert .cap bios to .rom? That bios you modded for me, a55bm-p was .rom. Don't say ypu jast rename it, though it works for afudos at least.

Just remove the first 0x800 bytes from the beginning of the bios (applies only on ASUS). As long as there is no TPU or ROG ICs present onboard then the third party flashing software (AFUDOS / AFUWin, Flashrom) should work just fine.

Got it, good old style. I thought some new converter is out there somewhere.

Hi Stilt. Thanks making these BIOS's available.

Any chance you can make one for the GA-F2A88XM-D3H? I currently have a 7850K (Kaveri?) in mine.

URL to BIOS. Looks like F9 is the latest non beta.

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4716#bios

Thanks!
