Looks like the ASUS boards can be flashed with afudos (with a possibility of bricking).

Can you please mod a A68HM-PLUS and A68HM-K bioses?

Going to test a budget APU build with one of these mobos and 7670k

Hi Stilt
Long time no see and how have you been?
I am very appreciative of your helps before.
For now I am still working to build my own apu system.
I changed my board but it was new asrock itx one (a88m-itx/ac)
Not for whole overclocking but for appropriate use. I mean I am building ultimate apu system haha..
So.. I got low profile r7 250 and trying to make it dual graphics and I want to overclock just gfx engine clock but it is really weak because the mobo support only 900mhz maximum..
Well.. as u and i know, Asus locked their bios, but i think you can easily mod asrock bios, as I know and respect your works.
So can you mod a88xm-itx/ac r1.0 bios so that I can syncronize gpu clock and r7 250's clock speed
But i am wondering your geapm mod can be applied with amd dual graphics
Well, could you please try to mod the bios' gfx clock maximum around 1100mhz?
Thank you very much

I just tried out the GeAPM defeat UEFI on my A88x-Pro and this 7870k, and it works like a charm. Thanks! It also worked with my old 7700k briefly (I removed it shortly after updating).

edit: I wanted to add something else: the GeAPM UEFI does prevent throttling due to iGPU usage to the state that amdmsrtweaker calls "p5", but it does not prevent throttling to the state amdmsrtweaker calls "p4" under circumstances where the socket is being asked to pull an extraordinary amount of power. Such as Furmark + Prime95 simultaneously. It's an edge case, but it's worthy of note.

Hi again!
How have you been?
I am still working with my Godavari chip frown.gif
Well, Finally I gave up extreme oc for better performance but I decided to make a very tiny itx pc.
Followed your answer, now i have gotten a giga's one which is F2a88xn-wifi.
However, the board supports 7860k only with F6 version of bios.
So would you mind if you update bios for my board?
I do not know what Giga did on the bios but I have not seen GeAPM issue.
Well.. the problem I am having is unstable benchmarks like from 200 to 270 cb on cinebench R15.
And further I got a R7 250 for Dual graphics and want to know how GeAPM bios works for this system.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I've got the same board as you, F6 is for Carrizo. Godavari is F5.

Already asked@Page3 The Stilt to make it for F6, but then he told me I could downgrade, and so did I smile.gif. Working well till today.

Hi Cherryblue
That is great!

But well.. I have read the bios version lists updated for, too
Do you have the same chip, which is a10-7860k?
I am a bit worried because the support lists in the official site tells carrizo and godavari 7860k are supported on F6 bios.
and I have those two chips which are x4 845 and a10 7860k
no spares:(
please reply
thanks

Heya,

Hope this helps! (Click here)

And I started a thread on A10-7860K, with my experience on it. It might interest you. (Click here)
