[Help] Me get Linux as my daily driver

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Hi guys,

A new"B" here that installed the Mint KDE yesterday on my "Dream come true" rig which also had Win7, albeit on an SSD. I wanted to get serious after trying Linux on a VB and so bought a 2 TB HDD and partitioned it in Win7 to one sector of 800GB & another of 900GB. Both of these partitions have not data on them.

Right, so i followed through with the installation being mindful of not installing it on my SSD as that would be a disaster. It has my work files and softwares. So, the issue:

The system directly boots to Linux Mint. It does not show any prompts at startup asking for which operating system I'd like to run. I had installed Linux through an bootable USB and through an installer from this very site.

Any help is appreciated !!!

So, I'm now just trying to get Linux running as my daily driver. It is still dual booted, but I'd like to run things on Linux that I do on Win7. If you have any advice please do share and I'd drop here to ask about things that I do not know about. My requirements are:
1. Suitable office replacements
2. A setup similar to SVP in windows
3. Games YAY!!

There is a grub2 editor or customizer I had to use to get ubuntu/win10 to dual boot in the same manner. I'll look around quick and see if I remember the name. Likely there is an easier method, but all I had to do was botting into ubuntu and use the grub2 program and add a delay/option to choose. I gave it a 10s delay at boot along with making win10 my default. So when I'm working on linux I will hit that to boot instead of win10. I'll search around quickly for you.

Grub2 configurator or something like that i think. In the show me thread we gave him instructions on how to do that manually already. But that is another way to do it, it may also pickup that another setting is off.

Correct. That is what I assumed when somoeone asked for his grub folder contents. It may be something else indeed.

Okay guys, finally got it figured out. I used the
Code:
sudo update-grub

and viola, its alive. But now, I have another issue. I tried using the prebundled productivity app libreOffice Calc and after starting it, it kicks me to the login screen. Again after logging in and starting it again does the same. Any ideas. Also, any programs that you'd recommend that is a must have for Linux ?
You need to run that because the file you edit is not the actual file it uses while booting. Not sure on the libre office issue. Look into Conky.

Sure. It seems the voes are not over. My update seems to be broken or my wireless driver. I use a USB wireless adapter to browse the internet on that system and while installing Linux, it connected successfully to the net. But now, the connections seems to drop after I first boot into the system and now cannot update the files.
