This one looks great though I really want to get it but most likely wont. Maybe a door solution like the Phantom would have worked since it looks like the case has enough space to support one easily. Sucks that the new Define doesnt have a 5.25" bay either.

Well, 5.25" bays are going the way of the dinosaurs. Hardly anyone uses optical media anymore, so it doesn't make much sense for manufacturers to waste space on 5.25" bays.

Its indeed unfortunate that it doesn't fit, especially since its only a couple mm short. But in fractal's defense, we're talking about 3 motherboards that use these rather unnecessary VRM risers, only one of which is current gen.

Imo, its as much ASUS' fault for making a motherboard that hinders case compatibility, as Fractal's for hindering motherboard compatibility.

Asus has technically violated ITX specs for years now, so there's that. It should not come down to cases working around specific motherboards, however popular it is.

Anyway off topic here. Good luck with the case, Eric!

Sadly not this time. I just defended my dissertation and have a ton of paperwork to do before I am "done" with grad school. I'll try to catch you at Quakecon or elsewhere thumb.gif

Edit: @MunneY- Nicely done man, see if you can bug people to send you some rads/CLCs for builds/demonstrations.

We want matx.
lost interest the moment it is another over sized generic tower that is "itx" in name but takes up as much volume as a matx case.

IMO case manufactures needs to take a page from silverstone for space efficiency, design it slight "roomier" with a more aesthetic focus and i be sold.

a slightly longer/deeper raijintek metis with a top 240mm rad space and im sold

5.25" bays are used for more then just optical drives though. hot swap drives, fan controller, additional front IO, bay res etc

I find this case very appealing, leaning towards white/black

while this is a nice designed case, I'd go with mATX for this size of choice though, what's the point of getting SFF motherboard then putting it in 47L case anyway mellowsmiley.gif
