Multiple monitors with SLI

Thread Starter
Quick question, I have an ROG Swift (DisplayPort only) and a Samsung 4k monitor (DisplayPort required for 4k@60Hz). I would like to use both if possible, however my 780Tis only have 1 displayport per card, if I use both I get an error where I should only be using the output of a single card when SLI is enabled.

How do people run multiple monitors with displayports?

Don't run SLI.

I THINK, and I'm sure someone will come along and correct me if wrong, but your solution here is going to be an active adaptor for the Samsung @ 4k to keep a single card output.

I actually found that if I enable my Intel Integrated GPU, and then plug extra monitors into it's display ports, including the HDMI port, I get extra monitor slots. I found that when I drag a game over to that monitor that is plugged into those extra ports, the GPU still does the heavy lifting thanks to multiple display performance mode support, and possibly Windows 10. I don't think the HDMI is 1.3 support tho on this motherboard, but I could check. MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition.
