Doesn't matter to me anymore. This is why I finally dumped FF in favor of Chrome

That is 1 tab.
Once you start to open more tabs at the same time Chrome actually takes in more memory than firefox since it uses a process for each tab.

Negative. Tested with the exact same amount of tabs open on each, 3.

I just tested it with my current amount of stuff which are 28 tabs. All used the same pages.
Firefox 900MB
Chrome in total 1.3GB

The more tabs you use, the more it changes.

I have to agree, I just opened a few same tabs on Firefox and Chrome and found that Firefox used less. Chrome creates many processes which consume around 50-100MB of RAM each, which soon adds up.

Go check in the background processes.

This is with 4 tabs opened:

Websocket debugger finally brings the dev tools closer to par with Chrome, nice.

I sometimes have small issues with twitch and youtube with FF. Chrome(I use opera actually) never does. But the customization options and extensions in FF keep it my primary browser. And Chrome uses as much or more RAM.
