Node 804 build help

Hello gentlemen,

I recently bought my new system (PCMR FTW!) and i'm gearing up towards the waterloop for it.
The purpose of this system is work + games + long time wish to build an overkill system (EPEEN FTW?). My work is some VMs with not too big workloads, a home lab.

I imagine it is going quite the challenge to build in such a small form factor so i'm set on the EK ZMT tubing given i'm not that set on uber looks.
Going for the matte black with red accents and red lights.

I have a few questions and/or issues however, which is why i'm here seeking your advice.

First off, you need some relevant data:

Case - Node 804
CPU - 4790k
MB - Asus VII Gene
VGA - reference board EVGA 980TI (one more coming along soon)
RAM - Vengeance pro 2x8gb - unfortunately too high of a profile for what i had in mind.
PSU - SuperFlower leadex gold 1000W

What I had in mind in terms of cooling was an XSPC - EK - Alphacool mix.

EK:

- Compression fittings
- Mosfet block
- This pump/res combo
- Fans - depending on your rad recommendation (see alphacool below) - Vardar 120, 140 and Cooler master xtraflo 120 slim
- ZMT Tubing

Alphacool (only rads):

- Alphacool monsta 280

My problem here is the length of the damn thing. Alphacool website specifies it is 324mm (12.76 Inches) in length. The inside of my case, as measured has 355mm (14inches) in length. The in and out ports are my problem. From the mounting screws next to the ports, to the edge of the case there are 30mm (1.2 inches) and i don't know if this will be enough to clear the case without modding it.

- 2x Slim 240 rads helped by 2 xtraflo 120 slim fans each. One rad on top and one on the front.
Went with the slims, since they would provide enough cooling (I think so at least, let me know if i'm off please) and they are slim enough not to make my job harder than it is, given the low amount of space.

XSPC:

- CPU block
- VGA blocks

All in all the final build should be interesting I think, given the form factor, if I can get some of the annoying details above sorted.

Thanks a heap !

TL;DR

Unsure of the length of the alphacool rad ports from the screw closest to the ports to the end of the rad.

I'm not sure I understand your problem correctly: You are wondering, how long the rad is, measured from the mounting holes, to the end of the rad (on the side with the ports)?

I guess I can help you with that. I have the NexXxos XT45 420mm from Alphacool, and I just measured that part. Its 28mm long, so you should be fine.
I can't guarantee though that its the exact same size for the other NexXxos rads.

Thanks for the update. That should fit just right.
Will update when the rad arrives in about a week or so.
