What do you think of my build and will.....

it run all games at least on medium/high?

I was seriously looking at an alienware alpha console for portability but my patients is running out on waiting for a sale. So, I'm working on a custom build backup plan and need some opinions.

A couple points I want to get across.

1. Its for travel so I want it small as possible. If there's a smaller case that won't jack up the price to much I'm all ears.

2. It is not my primary gaming system so please don't unnecessarily suggest more expensive hardware. I want to keep it cheap as possible as long as it fits my requirement/needs.

So will this run all current games at preferably high settings with maybe dropping some to medium in a worse case senario?

I already have 8 gigs of ddr3 1333 gskill ripjawsX I was hoping to reuse.

......as a side question out of curiosity how will this compare to the I3 version of the alienware alpha?

yes agree with pontiac since you want a cheap system, nvidia is not your choice, the 380 performs way better than the 950 and even the 960,
get the cheapest motherboard you will find

Thanks for the feedback guys. You helped me a lot with a few of my harder decisions.

I really liked the Thermaltake case but you have me second guessing it now. It almost seems like a coin toss between the two according to this "best of" article, http://www.custompcguide.net/5-best-mini-itx-chassis-for-a-petite-gaming-and-htpc-build/

Is that memory worth $40 when I already have this?

for cpu bound scenarios the higher memory frequency will improve min and overall fps
