Wow a big list. But "any" source game is not correct. Insurgency is Source game, and it struggles to run at 60 fps on GTX 980.

Really? What's wrong with that game? I did play it for a little while and it didn't drop below 60, but now that you mention it it didn't seem much higher than 60 either, but then again that was with 2x SGSSAA.

Left 4 Dead 2 should run at 200+ fps on pretty much any modern GPU at 1080p - 1440p.

Yeah some of those games will not stay at 120fps unless you reduce visuals to medium.

Killing Floor 2 is an amazing game for motion and is one of the best, if not the best, to show off 120Hz + light-strobing displays! Most games, even at 120fps and 120Hz are still limited by number of frames assigned to animation. KF2 weapon animation goes as high as 200fps unlike most FPS games that assign only 30fps to weapon animation. Assigned animation frame rate is not exactly the same as frames per second / refreshes you get on your screen, but you do need a high refresh rate display to experience such animation.

KF2 is brilliant and I have to say there is no game out there that benefits as much from high contrast display like KF2 does because of the exceptional and consistent low black level utilization. Very few games do that these days. To make game like Fallout 3/4/NV or Skyrim or Assassin's Creed or just about every other game out there use black levels and white levels (overall grayscale) to create a high-contrast, immersive and deep image, it takes ReShade and ENB and color-grading (LUT's). The problem with ReShade and ENB, and I said that countless times, is that they edit the entire image, forcing some places look terrible, clipping/crushing details. To make sure that doesn't happen, a game's graphics needs to be developed from ground-up with high-contrast in mind. Killing Floor blacks are so sweet without making anything else look bad and without needing ENB and/or ReShade.

Too bad I can't run it at 120fps with everything to Very High, let alone Ultra. Even at High settings, FPS dips below 80 as soon as there are 50 zombies on my screen attacking, blowing up, doing their thing. Summer 2016 Pascal will hopefully change that for me!

That is not correct, while they can run at those framerates, the game does not function properly at any framerate above 30 fps. So in order to finish those games you are forced to run them sometimes at 30 fps.

Very true. GTA 3 and Vice City become incredibly buggy and glitchy at literally any frame rate over 30. San Andreas will do framerates above 30 but as you get closer to 60, the bugs and things become more frequent and it just kills the experience more than just playing it at 30fps does.

He asked asked what games run at 120fps, Insurgency will not run even 100 with his gtx 980 due to optimization issue since 5 or so patches ago.

Sadly, as it ran better before.
