[EuroGamer] Face-Off: Rise of the Tomb Raider on PC - Page 19

Yep. And without tesselation and HBAO+, AMD is having an hard time with Fury-X on ~GTX980 level.

Why doesn't AMD change to some other color? Throughout the world, red is used to highlight negative performance, when it's performance is shown in red, even if it's not doing that bad, it feels like it's bad performance. Most people subconsciously associate red with bad, AMD choosing red doesn't work in their favor.

It is bad,believe me.

Why would we wanna get rid of tessellation,to be "objective for AMD"? Is that really objectivity to drop a feature that's been the among one of the most important DX11 ones cause AMD can't deal?

well, reviews say syndicate runs 1440p/980ti around 40 fps, while I'm getting 80. It doesn't require dropping settings to low, just 2-3 of them from ultra to high. with low I'd be at 140.

I know it's bad, but the red color is not mitigating it's perception. I only asked if the tessellation was off as I didn't understand the language.

no,my reference to tesselation was general, not to any of your comments. I just like how amd diehard fans blaim excessive tessellation, then with tessellation off Fury X doesn't gain a freakin thing compared to 980Ti.

Very little tesselation. It runs pretty well on 16.1 drivers. Should see a nice bump with 16.1.1.

yeah, 290X/390 actually seems to be doing very well in this game, even beating 970 on higher resolution. If CF is working then I suppose two 290X's must run pretty great. I just don't get how Fury X beats 290X by mere 10 fps. You could literally get a tri-fire setup of used 290Xs for the cost of one Fury X.
