Async has nothing to do with the results shown.
How can you say for certain that GameWorks is the cause for this issue?
The only GameWorks effect is HBAO+. Disable that, and I'm sure you'll still see this bizzare performance issue.

Gameworks doesn't explain the bizarre CPU core scaling issue.

I mean hell, I have a 980 Ti and I still hate Gameworks as much as some of the AMD users here. But there comes a point when you just have to be honest with yourself and admit that AMD has certain driver-side issues that need sorting out.

How is this not AMD faults?

Blame GameWorks all you want, but you can turn off HBAO+ and the issue is still there. Why people blindly defend a company is beyond me.

They let themselves down so badly on the driver side.. Every time someone is looking to buy a new GPU for a new game they see Nvidia on top.. They leapfrog them down the road, but they've already lost out on sales by then.

Well like OneB1t said if a game come with GameWorks AMD automatically has to spend more time to optimize the game then Nvidia. Even if GW had no negative effects , time = money.

Files found in the game directory does not prove with absolute certainty that the DX12 implimentation was held back to prevent AMD because the DX12 coding may not have been through optimization.

Well, i would like to see some benches once 16.1.1 is released. I havent bought many AAA titles in awhile. I forget pc games need a month to work (if at all) properly. It seems like the driver team gets the game a week before release and needs to rush out the driver. I wonder if this isnt far from reality.
