They are different things though. PC market has nothing to do with Gaming PCs. Gaming PCs are like 2-3%.

Seriously, we constantly get articles how PC is going better than ever. Even Japanese developers are starting to realize it and we are getting those games on PC as well.

Not really worth upgrading to. Next

Inb4 quad Titans don't scale at all and Kepler sucks at tesselation, therefore Nv decided to load up on tess in gameworks titles and kill two birds with one stone; amd and older nv cards... Lol

Just getting it on Xbone and not have to worry about upgrading at all when pascal comes out with dx12/ async features that have been disabled in PC ports now courtesy of the game developers sponsors.. tongue.gif

Either way, consoles may also come up with something decent for VR in the next two to three years. so, won't missing out on much being a peasant... tongue.gif

We're not even sure of the extent that DX12 is used in some of these games, or how many of the games actually use DX12 and Asynchronous Compute, along with why it wasn't used on the PC version.

It would be great to have it in every game that uses DX12 on the Xbox One, but we can't really just jump to conclusions about it.
Just Cause 3 is getting a DX12 update, Ark Survival Evolved is getting a DX12 update, and quite possibly Fable Legends if it doesn't already use DX12 in the beta.

There could be many, many reasons why the PC version doesn't have DX12, one of them could be that it requires more development time to implement.

some ppl should think sensibly - would you rather have an buggy game that runs async than a well develop one without async? dx12 is still just crawling.
btw amd does not need async to beat the crap out of nvidia (except for 980Ti maybe). it just needs to get rid of the bloody overhead and finally make a card that can run more than one friggin gigahertz.

DF mistaken the version tags or what? illuminated radius on head light is higher on X1

I could be the only one but I like whichever looks brighter whether it's labeled wrong or not. I don't need "real" lighting, I wanna see clearly biggrin.gif Sad I moved away from action games long time ago. (until there's a tech faster than CRT monitors)

Played the last one on mostly high settings at 42fps locked ( Adaptive half refresh rate (half 85Hz) on fw900 crt, with Ao AA ect, hair off , 1920x1200 ) on a gtx660 and i5 3570k stock. The game looked amazing and ran smooth as butter. And in darker sequences looked better than any lcd can match in a pitch dark room. I cranked everything to highest and turned hair on ( i don't think that effect looks good anyway, so i would turn it off even if i could run it ) but i did just to have a look at the difference. It was basically unnoticeable in play. The experience was not detracted in any way. A long way from TR1. Played every TR on release. Crazy TR 1 now runs on my phone, hah. biggrin.gif
